Meet the 2010 WestRock Lacrosse Staff

The WestRock coaching staff has over fifty years of coaching experience at all levels.

  • Lew Janavey: Program Director; Somers Varsity Head Coach; Former Edgemont Varsity; Silver, Bronze medal winner Empire state games coaching staff; Head Coach-NY Maryland Challenge; Head Coach- Hudson Valley Empire team; Varsity Asst Lakeland.


  • Brian Smith: Somers Varsity Asst. Head Coach; Former Edgemont Varsity; Salisbury University; MVP 1999 National Championship; 2x Medal Winner Hudson Valley Empire Team; All-Section; Yorktown HS.


  • Bill Honovich: Fairfield University Defense; HM All-American; 3x Hudson Valley Empire games starter; HS All-Section.


  • Eddie Geary: Scarsdale HS Varsity Asst. Two time Empire States Games Participant.Junior College All-American, Div III College All-American Nazareth College Attackman. .North- South College All Star Participant.


  • Rob Miller: 4yr Starter Williams College; All- American Midfielder; Middie- New York Saints MILL


  • Phil Honovich: Lakeland/Panas; 4yr Varsity starter; All-League; All-Section.
